They poured the Foundation on Saturday. The Garage is looking good!
The wife looking at the garage in awe "this is way bigger than I thought it was going to be" she says.
Followed by "I hope your happy" in this sort of half pissed off tone. but she could see how giddy I was about it and she could not help but smile.

are you guys building a house? Make sure the garage is at lease as big as the house. That's a must.

You making sure the roof is tall enough to accommodate a two post lift? I dream of having a garage with a lift in it.

almost! the Garage is 32' x 24' and the house is 32' x 27 1/2'. the garage is roughly 97% the size of the house.

I don't know if it is tall enough or not. but I did build it as big and as tall as the zoning regulations would allow.
I have oversized width and height garage doors 9' x 8 & 16' x 8' rather than the more common 8' x 7' and 16' x 7'
worst comes to worst I will put a lift like this guy: (skip to 7:12)

That guy's garage is pretty awesome and the lift he has works great for the Porsche's but I don't know if it would work so well with a traditional FR or AWD car, but if there is an attic like overhead storage, you might be able to get away with fitting a lift.

This. Is. Awesome.
Kudos to you, sir!

Actually I never tough of that. I could most definitely steel some "attic" room to get the needed height.
I'm looking at the blueprints and it does not tell me wall height on here. but I may have enough height as it is.

So, what're you going to put in it?

lifts need 4" poured concrete to support the weight, I do know that much

For now nothing exciting just a 2013 Ford Fusion & 2013 Ford Escape.
But once the house is done and I start having money again I will get some sort of a project car and project bike and the daily drivers will sleep outside.

I've see that one. the wife wasn't sold on 90% garage and 10% house so I had to settle for 50% garage and 50% house. You cant have it all I guess.
